On 23 October 2023, Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Jeffrey G. Kitingan spoke in Parliament regarding Sabah’s 40% revenue entitlement.

The Sabah Law Society (SLS) filed a judicial review application against the Federal Government on 9 June 2022 concerning the non-payment of Sabah’s 40% revenue rights.
